Joke Adu
Board Member
Joke is a seasoned Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing executive with over 15 years of International Banking experience.
Joke has worked in various roles and functions across several markets including Kenya, UAE, Cote D’Ivoire and Mauritius managing business communications, strategic marketing, public affairs, project management, sustainability and community investments for the Bank. She is currently responsible for Corporate Communications and Sustainability Community Investments at Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria
Joke has a first degree in English Literature & an MSc in Media & Communications. She has various qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK; the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) Ireland; Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the National Institute of Marketing Nigeria (NIMN).
Joke is a Certified Leadership Coach from the prestigious NeuroLeadership Institute providing on the job professional support to corporate professionals including Business Executives across the Bank’s global network and externally.
Away from the office, Joke is a freelance writer, enjoys creating visual art and designing motivational decor pieces. She also enjoys tourist traveling, history, spending quality time with loved ones and is passionate about initiatives that provide sustainable economic empowerment opportunities for young people.
She is married to Ayodeji and together they serve on the Board of the Covenant Nations’ (TCN) Community Groups and TCN’s Marriage Enrichment Department. Joke is currently an Assistant General Manager (AGM) responsible for Corporate Communications and Sustainability Community Investments at Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria.
