Women In Leadership

The Women in Leadership Community Group is a network of female professionals and enterpreneurs who are leaders in their organizations and industries. The program prepares members of this community to expand their influence and advance their leadership. The purpose of the group is to create a balanced woman (spirit, soul and body) who leads in all aspects of their lives.

The Governor - Tola Odeyemi

Tola Odeyemi is public policy expert with over 15 years experience in the public and privtae sector. She is currently the head of public policy at Uber Technologies for the West African region.

Prior to this Tola held several positions with the Lagos state government such as the Executive Secretary to the Environmental Trust fund, Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos state governor on Public Utilities Monitoring and Assurance, as well as Special Assistant to the Lagos state to the Governor on Global Outreach & Partnerships. Her public sector experieice also includes the Central Bank of Nigeria where she was a part of the Shared Services team under the Office of the Deputy Governor, Operations.

Tola is a firm believer that the solutions to national challenges lie primarily in technology and innovation and her mission is to create a perfect synergy of technology and policy. She is passionate about increasing youth and female participation in public service and politics, as she herself has been a part of three political campaigns at national and state levels. Tola has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Morgan State University, Maryland and a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from the George Washington University.
